Team Novel Teen Blog Tour: The Wishing Pearl by Nicole O’Dell

Today, Team Novel Teen is touring The Wishing Pearl by Nicole O’Dell.

I ADORE this book! But I reviewed it back in December, so here is a link to my review if you want to know what I thought. One thing I remember, I loved the characters. I was so caught up in Olivia’s world that I didn’t want to stop reading. See the end of this post for links to the other reviewers. I bet most of them are going to like this book too.

Since I’m not going to post my review again, I decided to post info on the whole trilogy. That’s right. The Wishing Pearl is only book one in a trilogy about girls who visit Diamond Estates. Check out what you all have to look forward to. One thing I have to comment on, aren’t the covers gorgeous? I love them. These are great books for girls. Check them out.

A land far away from the haunting memories of her past.
But then reality sets in, and Olivia knows she must make the best of her dire situation—at least until her high-school graduation. But when poor choices lead Olivia to the brink of a complete breakdown and she finds herself dealing with the unexpected death of her best friend, she comes to a crossroads.
Will Olivia find the path to ultimate hope and healing that her heart longs for? Or will the demons from her past prove too much to bear?

“There’s no place like home. . .”
“There’s no place like home. . .”
“There’s no place like home.”

But then reality sets in, and Carmen concludes that ruby slippers are mere fiction. Constant prayers that her parents will patch things up remain unanswered. . .and her hurtful world becomes too much for her to bear. Trapped by resentment and anger, Carmen lashes out the only way she knows how and soon finds herself at a crossroads.
Will Carmen find the path to ultimate peace and contentment that her heart longs for? Or will her troubled soul remain forever embittered?

Seventeen-year-old Joy Christianson is the life of the party.
But when her best friend commits suicide, Joy’s already wavering faith slips completely out of reach—and darkness and depression lay claim to her soul. A group of “friends” lead her to the Onyx, meant to help her let go of the past and bring her into harmony with reality, and Joy finds herself embarking on an ominous journey of witchcraft. Caught in a world of evil and shadows, Joy isn’t so sure that there’s a way out, and soon finds herself at a crossroads.
Will Joy find the hope and light her heart longs for?
Or will her dejected soul remain forever in the shadows?
Afraid of letting the depression and evil take root, she decides to seek help in the haven of Diamond Estates—and tries to reclaim the Joy she once knew.

🙂 How fun!! I love all the info on all three books!! I grabbed the pictures, but didn’t note when they were coming out – yikes!! This has been a very fun book to Tour with!! THANKS!!

  2. Rachel says:

Oh, very cool and I like the information on the other books coming up. Can’t wait to read them too. Besides the great story, realistic characters, and everything else, I thing I really liked was the deaf characters in the book. The deaf community need to be represented in fiction more and this book did a good job of it. The sign descriptions were even correct for the ones I knew. Thanks for the info on the books again, Jill. 🙂

  3. Thanks for noting that, Rachel! Reminds me to make sure it’s tagged with that on Amazon! Off I go!

  4. Rachelle Rea says:

  5. Maddy says:

Are we going to do a blog tour for the rest of her books, too? They look so good. 😉

  6. RJ says:

I can’t wait for the next two books!!!
