Picture description
Draw a picture of of Darius and Robo looking out the back window of a “bus”-like transport vehicle as they set off toward the distant city that is under a dome. This scene takes place on a moon, and so all towns and cities have domes over them. So you could draw Darius and Robo looking out the back window of a bus with a dome in the distance. And there is a lot of dust behind the bus too.
I put some pictures of Darius and Robo below. I also added some pictures for inspiration to help you draw a transport bus and a domed city. There is also a scene you can read below to inspire you further. Have fun!
Excerpt from Chapter Seven of The Tiny Cyborg:
“You can borrow my ground transport vehicle,” Nuut said. “It’s not very fast, but it will hold your group.”
All cities and towns on the moon required a dome to create a habitable atmosphere. To get to the city of Atoris, they would have to travel from the dome of this small town all the way to the dome that held the city of Atoris.
“I’d go in through the Droklo Gate, if I were you,” Nuut said. “It’s so far from the main part of the city, Dr. Fleed hasn’t gotten to it yet. My friend Tassy Felaz will let you in. I’ll call ahead and make sure she’s waiting for you.”
So they set off for Relo in Nuut’s ground transport vehicle. The drive was long and bumpy. Darius and Robo sat in the back and looked out the windows. The transport stirred up a lot of dust. The plume behind them looked like storm clouds rising into the sky.
Father examined the puncture wounds on Darius’s chest. “Oh, son.”
Darius didn’t like the way his father was looking at him. “What? What’s wrong?”
“This was no ordinary hard suit,” Father said. “It been planting nanobots into your skin.”
Nanobots? “What does that mean?” Darius asked. “What are they doing?”
“My guess is Dr. Fleed has found yet another way for turning people into cyborgs,” Father said. “With hard suits.”
“Dr. Fleed said I had to return to his office in twenty-four hours or I would become a cyborg,” Darius said. “But it hasn’t been that long yet.”
“I’m afraid Dr. Fleed wasn’t honest with you, son,” Father said. “This suit was going to convert you to a cyborg no matter how long you wore it.”
