As I was searching for something in my email archives, I found this old message that I had written to my critique group. It was dated Monday, December 17, 2007. In this email I had just started to write Bloodvoices, which became By Darkness Hid. And to do so, I had put aside writing Jason Farms, my 2007 NaNoWriMo project, which is now known as Replication: The Jason Experiment.
I find it fun to look back and remember my journey. I started writing in 2004. Over three years later, I had just begun to start working on the stories that would become published.

Thanks for all your help on the article! I sent the assignment off. Yay! It was for a correspondance writing course I’ve been taking for over a year now. Only one assignment left and the course will be complete. I’m really excited about the last assignment, too. It’s two parts. One- write a book proposal for a fiction novel. Two- Write the first three chapters. (Which I kind of already did.) I’m doing a medieval fantasy story, although there are no typical medieval beasts such as dragons, elves, and trolls. I did invent a fire breathing bear called a cham, which is Hebrew for bear. I have some giants, but they’re only like nine to ten feet tall. LOL. I’m very excited about this new project. Poor, poor Jason Farms (my Nano book) will have to wait. Tee hee!
Must. Sleep. Now.
