Well, I got so busy at the Oregon Christian Writer’s Conference that I wasn’t able to keep up on the blog reports. I had a wonderful time, though. I taught two workshops on science fiction and fantasy writing. I attended James Scott Bell’s morning session each day on writing books using Hollywood tricks. I volunteered in the walk-in center and got to meet a lot of great authors with really neat projects. I met Kathleen Kerr, the middle grade editor at Zonderkidz. And I met Amanda Luedeke, the newest agent at MacGregor Literary. I also hung out with a lot of good friends.
If you feel called to be a writer, you must, at some point, find a writer’s conference to attend. Because, if you are a writer, other writers are your people. You belong with us. I promise that you will never regret your experience. It’s that much fun. And educational too.
What about you? Are you a writer? If so, what is your favorite conference? If not, are you a member of an organization in which you get to attend conferences every now and then? If so, what are they?

The OCW Summer Conference is incredible. Really. Take Jill’s word for it.
