I have a bad habit of thinking about ALL of the ways I’m always falling short of my own ideals and what I think God and others think I need to be. It’s a constant battle for me to remember that God loves me as I am, and that nobody else really matters. (No offense!) I’ve always been a glass half empty girl, but I’ve been working on being more positive. When I catch myself grumbling or feeling down because things aren’t going the way I want them to, I remind myself I’m choosing to dwell. Instead, I want to choose joy. Joy doesn’t always come when I call, however. But I’ve found that if I start listing all of the things that are GOOD in my life—all that I’m grateful for—the joy comes rolling in eventually.
I stumbled onto this lovely image and words on Instagram that was created by Deanna Talwalkar of @mirabellecreations, and it spoke to my heart. It was a reminder to me to be grateful for who I am. I’m grateful for all of you as well. Thank you for reading my books and cheering me on while I continue to navigate life and the publishing industry. ♥♥♥
