The Safe Lands

Okay… After a long, long time with my Sakura Micon pens, I finished my dystopian map. I still have some brainstroming to do here, but this is a futuristic land where a disease has killed off a huge percentage of the world’s population. So the government built this walled-in city as a way to protect the people. But things are not so safe inside the Bell, as the people call it.
There are people who live outside the Bell. Outsiders, or barbarians, as the government calls them. But these people are living longer than those inside the bell. The government occasionally raids their villages and takes these Outsiders captive. The story follows a group of Outsiders who have been taken inside the bell. The main character is a young man who will be trying to find where they have taken his fiance. He and his two brothers will form a pact to remain true to their way of life and not be misled by the government’s misconceptions of the disease. They become Messengers to their people in an effort to hold true to themselves despite the illusion of utopia. But not all of them will be strong enough to resist.
I was inspired to write this when my womens’ Bible study group was studying the book of Daniel.
Here is the map. What do you think?
