It can be so easy to get caught up in wanting more. Every now and then I need to remind myself that God gives me exactly what I need. This video is one of my favorite reminders of that promise.

Even more it’s about letting our jealousy of others’ gifts spoil our relationship with the Lord. I’ve been mentoring a young man whose ability to understand the Scriptures is amazing. And he has a photographic memory so he can memorize entire books of the Bible. I have to work hard to memorize even a verse. I struggled with that a bit – no a lot – at first, but then I realized that the Lord has given me what I need, what I will use in His service. I have other wonderful gifts of my own. It’s not a “one size fits all” situation, rather He chooses just what we will need. It comes down to trusting Him to care for us. Good video!
Really good reminder.
Came across a similar situation tonight (as far as not comparing yourself to others). A friend wrote a book over the last two months and will likely have it published and for sale within a few weeks while I have been “slaving” away editing mine for the last two years.
Have to remember to be patient and follow the path He set for me. No one else’s path will work for me.
